I love my hair! Yes, I won’t be shy – I really do love my hair! It wasn’t always like this though. In fact, I hated my hair when I was growing up. I mean I really hated it! I hated that it was red and thick and frizzy. I also didn’t really know what to do with it. Today, I know how to manage my hair and take care of it so it looks full, healthy and gorgeous. I’ve also learned how to prevent hair damage.

When I attended Mom 2.0 a few years ago, I discovered that Dove was more than just bar soaps. In fact, one of my good blogger friends and I had our hair styled by the Dove team. It gave me a whole new view on Dove products in general!

I recently discovered the Dove Nutritive Solutions for hair. I love the Intensive Repair Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner, which you can find at Walmart for a great price (and in two different sizes). With the Dove Nutritive Solutions, you get soft, smooth and beautiful hair…day after day.

4 Ways to Prevent Hair Damage

1 – Blow-drying hair. Blow-dry hair on the cool setting to prevent heat damage.

2 – Brushing hair. Be sure to brush your hair regularly to distribute natural oils to prevent frizz. I personally love using the Wet Brush.

3 – Coloring hair. I love to get my hair colored, but I make sure to spread it out over time. Ideally, you shouldn’t color your hair more than once a month. Any more than that may lead to excessively damaged hair.

4 – Repairing hair. Use Dove Intensive Repair Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner to reconstruct hair at the cellular level. These products help to prevent split ends and breakage. You’ll find your hair is five times smoother after just one wash! Enjoy weightless, beautiful hair without excess residue.
