Sit Back and Relax with Brancott Estate’s New “Flight Song” Wines
Last year, I was first introduced to Brancott Estate Wines and let me tell you, I fell in love with their wines! So when I heard that Brancott Estate released their new “Flight Song” Wines, I had to try them! Thanks to Mom Central and Brancott Estate, I received two bottles of wine – one Sauvignon Blanc and one Pinot Grigio.
With summer around the corner, the days are longer and the weather is warming up. So when it comes to wine, I’m looking for a wine that is lighter in flavor…and in calories. Brancott Estate’s “Flight Song” Wines fit the bill perfectly! The “Flight Song” wines are full of crisp flavor (a definite palate pleaser), as well as have 20% fewer calories compared to their other wines.
“Consumers have told us that they are looking for a wine style that is lighter in calories but doesn’t compromise on the taste and flavor complexity of the wine.” says Matt Foley, Brancott Estate Brand Director, Pernod Ricard USA.
Brancott Estate Flight Song is made using grapes harvested earlier in the season when their sugar levels are naturally lower. This leads to a wine that is 20 per cent lighter in calories* than a typical wine of the same varietal.
The Brancott Estate Flight Song range includes a premium Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and a Marlborough Pinot Grigio which will each retail at $14.99.
“There are a number of ways to reduce the calories in wine but not all of these processes are natural and many of them affect the flavor of the wine. With Brancott Estate Flight Song, we use a natural winemaking approach to create a wine that is 20 per cent lighter in calories*. By doing this, we retain all of the distinctive Marlborough flavors that people expect from Brancott Estate,” says Patrick.
Here are some fun facts about Brancott Estate “Flight Song” Wines:
– Brancott Estate was the first to plant the Sauvignon Blanc grape in the Marlborough Region of New Zealand.
– Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is now world renowned for its exceptional full flavor tastes.
– Brancott Estate has naturally crafted these new Flight Song wines to be full of flavor and happen to be lighter in calories.
– Harvesting earlier from select estate parcels results in a wine that is naturally 20% lighter in calories, with the full flavor consumers expect from a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. The result is full-flavored, complex wines which deliver the taste and aromatics that consumers expect from a high quality Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Grigio.
