I have three little boys and as a parent, I am constantly looking for ways to teach them responsibility.  Thanks to MomSelect, I had the opportunity to check out Goalforit.com.  On this site, I found a very helpful Chore Chart to help me teach the boys responsibility around the house.

Goalforit.com is an excellent online resource that provides a variety of free solutions for personal success that are easy to use and can help bring more focus, balance and fulfillment into everyday living.  The simple-to-use Chore Chart can help children of all ages learn essential skills in a fun and rewarding way.

This FREE Chore Chart can help teach kids, tweens and teens many important lessons, including:

Responsibility:  A Chore Chart is an ideal way to help your kids feel like they are making a contribution to their family by doing their part around the house.

Understanding right from wrong:  Setting behavior goals is an important way to help children strengthen their character and judgment.

Healthy Habits:  Teaching good habits involving nutrition and physical activity is the cornerstone to preventing obesity in children and adolescents.

Money Matters:  The optional point system teaches children three important lessons for managing money; earning, spending and saving.

  1. I can definitely see where this comes in handy with moms that have children-Starting to introduce responsibility young helps kids grow up with a strong work ethic, as well as, gives them the feeling of self worth.

    I think that’s very important 🙂

  2. R Hicks says:

This should be mandatory for everyone that has kids at home!

I can’t wait to give my kids chores! lol

  4. I always want to do chore charts with my boys, but never stick with it! I’m going to check this out. Maybe if my oldest can help manage it, we can stick with it!

  5. Elena says:

I haven’t tried the chore chart yet, and I think now it’s time to do it as my son is old enough for that.

Excellent! Getting good habits instilled early pay off later.
