Avon Skin So Soft

When I was younger the only thing that I associated with Avon was a little old blue-hair lady with bright red lipstick and bad makeup. Well, this isn’t your mother’s (or grandmother’s) Avon anymore! Avon has so many things to things to offer:

Color cosmetics

Skincare

Fragrance

Fashion & Home

Personal Care

Home Care

With summer right around the corner and the heat wave California has been experiencing, I need to use sunscreen on our family almost everyday. Whether we are lounging at the beach, diving into the pool, camping by the lake, hiking, or just going to school the necessity of sunscreen is overwhelming. I don’t know about you, but the bugs have been invading our personal space like crazy this year!  They are SO annoying!

My mom used to use Avon’s Skin So Soft products on me when I was a child, and now I get to use them on my children. But there’s one difference that I am thrilled with. Avon has combined sunscreen with their bug repellent! And let me tell you something, this stuff works! Avon’s products are DEET-free, dermatologist-tested, and hypoallergenic.

Check out some of their bug guard products:

Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus– 2-in-1 protection! Repels mosquitoes that may transmit West Nile Virus for 8 hours. Provides effective protection against gnats, no-seeums, sand flies and biting midges. DEET-free, dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic. And it has SPF protection!

You can purchase this product in aerosol, pump spray, or as a lotion. My daughter likes the sprays, while my son will only let me apply the lotion.

Avon Skin So Soft

Cool ‘N Fabulous Disappearing Color with 30 SPF – very water resistant with vitamin E and Aloe. The kids loved watching the blue lotion turn clear after we applied it and the fun of it made them remember to get it re-applied after a few hours.

Avon Skin So Soft

Insect Repellent Towelettes with vitamin E and aloe – these are great to throw into a backpack or suitcase for easy travel and easy application.

Avon Skin So Soft

Bug Guard Plus Picaridin (no SPF) but Strong Repellency against Mosquitoes and Deer Ticks

I keep these products in my car, beach bag, and beside the door so they’re always within arms length.

I have some of the Avon skin so soft products and they really work great in helping keep my skin soft and sunscreen is very good. I have not tried the bug repellent cloths, but I need to get some of these when I go camping this summer.
