You’ll both laugh and cry when you watch Parental Guidance this holiday season. Frank and I saw a screening of the movie and we both really enjoyed it a lot! I think we enjoyed it mostly because we could totally relate (with the exception of not giving our kids sugar). How often do we as parents hear how our parents would do it if our child were actually their child? Way too many times! Parental Guidance (Rated PG) comes to theaters from Twentieth Century Fox on Christmas Day and it’s a movie you won’t want to miss!
SYNOPSIS:
Old school grandfather Artie (Billy Crystal), who is accustomed to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane (Bette Midler) agrees to babysit their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents (Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott) go away for work. But when 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane’s old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it’s learning to bend – and not holding your ground – that binds a family together.
CAST:
Billy Crystal, Bette Midler, Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott, Bailee Madison

Wowzers, I don’t remember any advice from my mom, she was very free spirited so , she never really said anything until I was in my late teens… the one thing she did say was “When falling in love, be careful not to fall for the wrong guy, he needs to have a good sense of humor and it needs to work “everywhere” including the bedroom!” LOL Yes, she did tell me that! Also told me that “we don’t have kids for ourselves, but for others…eventually, they do leave and marry”. OUCH! LOL Love my mom! lol
Always be prepared
