My 32nd Birthday – May 7, 2011 – Trip to Los Angeles – Day 1

Last year, my best girlfriend, Colleen, and I (and her man at the time) headed down to Los Angeles for my 32nd birthday.  It was so much fun!  We wen’t to PF Chang’s for lunch when we got there, Olive Garden for a mini reunion with some of my high school classmates that night, Universal Studios the following day, the Hollywood City Pass the next day, and Benihana’s for dinner on our way back!  It was one of my best birthdays ever (although I did miss my little guys a lot)!

On our way down we were greeted with Los Angeles traffic (yay!) and a car that caught on fire (boo!).  The freeway had about 5 lines, with big buildings on both sides.  We decided our first stop would be PF Chang’s for lunch.  Yummy!

We had lunch at PF Chang’s.  Yummy!  Here I am multi-tasking – talking on my dumb phone and using Internet on my Smart Phone.  LOL :)

We ordered Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Egg Drop Soup.

Our server bringing us steamed white rice.  We also ordered Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef.

After dinner, we had coffee with cream and sugar.  Then they brought us dessert for my birthday.

We stayed at Holiday Inn – Universal Studios at a great rate (thank you Bijal) and it was perfect!  The right size room for the right price!  Thanks Bijal!  However, we didn’t pack our bathing suits, so no hot tub for us.  Maybe next time!

That night was a lot of fun because I met up with some friends from high school who still lived in the area.  We went to dinner at Olive Garden and it was great catching up with them.

More posts to come on Universal Studios, the Hollywood City Pass, and Benihana’s!
