Tips on School Lunch Nutrition – Talk Today at 1 PM ET
My boys love chocolate milk and let me tell ya, they loved the TruMoo Chocolate Milk that we had the opportunity to sample! Today, at 1:00 p.m. EST, join myself, some other amazing bloggers, and The Motherhood as we talk about School Lunch Nutrition Tips!
Just in time for the back-to-school season, join us to discuss the importance of tasty and healthy school lunches that include nutrient-rich milk. The discussion will be led via live video feed by Andrea Carrothers, MS, RD and Nutrition Communications Manager at Dean Foods. Andrea can help with tips on how to encourage healthier eating at home and at school and demystify the chocolate-milk-in-schools debate playing out on TV and in school meetings from coast to coast. Come to ask and answer questions, tell us which health-conscious foods your kids love and exchange ideas for school lunches, after-school snacks or breakfast before you and the kids hit the door!

My boys prefer to take lunch from home over hot lunch at school. In their lunches, I always include a sandwich (with cheese and meat on wheat or buttermilk bread). I include a cracker of some sort, 100% juice, fruit or veggies, and a treat (usually Fruit by the Foot or Fruit Snacks). I prefer to make my boys’ lunches because then I KNOW what they have the option of eating for lunch and can make it as healthy as possible. I love that TruMoo Chocolate Milk is now an option. Since I include a freezer pack in the lunch, it would be the perfect addition to my boys’ lunches! A big thanks to The Motherhood for this back-to-school opportunity.
I received a sample as part of this compensated campaign with TruMoo and The Motherhood. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
