Yo ho yo ho….a Pirate Blast for me! In February 2011, Zoo Games released a new game for the Nintendo Wii system that kids will love! ”Pirate Blast” is available for purchase online and in stores, retailing for $19.99 for the title and $29.99 for the bundle.
You arrive at Vile Isle amusement park, the world’s first amusement park to feature robotic pirates and monkeys. But the park robots have gone silly at the hands of their robotic leader, Captain Greasebeard, who thinks he’s a real pirate. Your mission is to stop Captain Greasebeard and his evil Henchbots, save all the friendly robots, and return the amusement park to normal in time for the park’s grand opening. Time to get swashbuckling!
- Buccaneer Battles: Fight against eight different enemy types as you work your way towards the final boss battle against Greasebeard.
- Amusing Environments: Journey across a variety of entertaining scenes that include villages, jungles, secret pirate coves and pirate ships.
- Discover & Collect Pirate Booty: Explore through various terrains to discover bonus rooms and collect booty such as first aid kits and special keys to aid you in your quest.
- Blaster Peripheral: In addition to the standalone title, Pirate Blast will also be available bundled with an innovative blaster peripheral that when paired with a Wii remote, provides a challenging shooting adventure.

Brian and Dallen LOVE this game! Brian was so excited that they were able to reach the seventh level in the game, of which there are eight levels of villages, jungles, pirate coves and pirate ships to get through. This is a fun game. Dallen, my 5 year old, was a bit frustrated at times because he had a hard time finding the arrow on the screen. Brian was more than willing to help him out. A big thanks goes to Zoo Games for this review opportunity on The Mommy-Files.
