Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

Thanksgiving Blessing Mix pic.jpg

I love this time of year….Thanksgiving….a time when we think about the blessings in our lives and give thanks for those blessings.  A fun way to express your love for Thanksgiving is by sharing Thanksgiving Blessing Mix with friends and family.  It’s an easy recipe that was shared with me many years ago.   Plus, it’s really yummy!

Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

2 cups Bugle Snacks (horn of plenty)

2 cups Pretzels (arms folded in thanks and prayer)

1 cup Candy Corn (during the first winter, the pilgrims were each allotted five kernels of corn each day because food was scarce)

1 cup Dried Fruit or Candy Pieces (Thanksgiving is a celebration of harvest)

1 cup Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds (potential of a bounteous harvest for the next season if they are planted and well tended)

*** I didn’t have Peanuts and Sunflower Seeds on hand, so I used the Kirkland Brand of Trail Mix (included nuts, candy pieces, and dried fruit) and then I added in the Fall Colored M&Ms (in orange and brown) ***

*** Another substitute for M&Ms is Reese’s Pieces, which has Fall colors. ***

I was not compensated for this post.  I just thought it would be a fun recipe to share for the Thanksgiving holiday!  All opnions expressed in this post are 100% mine!
