Wilton Toy Story Review & Giveaway

My boys love the Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” movies and characters and were super excited when they saw the Wilton Toy Story goodies arrive at our front door.  My mom and I had taken the three boys to see “Toy Story 3″ in the theaters and we all had a blast!  It was even more fun to try out the different Toy Story Wilton products in our home!  Whether you want to have a “Toy Story” movie marathon, birthday party, or just want to try out something fun, Wilton has the Toy Story baking products you’re looking for!

We love cupcakes in our family and I was excited to use the Disney/Pixar Toy Story Icing decorations.  The edible cake decorations are my favorite because I can eat them and they taste good…plus they are adorable!  These edible sugar shapes include Rex and the Aliens and are perfect for decorating cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, and cake!  They are Certified Kosher.  A pack of 12 retails for $2.49 online at the Wilton Store.

We also tried out the Disney/Pixar Toy Story Toppers.  These are not edible, but make for great souvenirs to take home from a special occasion!  You’ll enjoy treats with blue, orange, yellow, and green stars featuring Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Alien, and Rex!  These plastic toppers are great on cupcakes, brownies, cakes, and more!  They are 1.5 inches high and a pack of 8 retails for $4.49 online at the Wilton Store.

If you’re looking for a fun and quick way to dress up your cupcakes, check out the Disney/Pixar Toy Story Baking Cups!  These baking cups are fun and colorful and kids (and adults) will go nuts over them.  They come in standard size, microwave-safe paper and are 2 inches in diameter.  You can purchase a pack of 50 baking cups online at the Wilton Store for $1.79.

If you are looking for a way to make your little one’s birthday cake an all-around treat that goes “to infinity and beyond,” you’ll want to order a Disney/Pixar Toy Story Candle!  This handpainted candle is sure to light up any party with its colorful and fun details.  The candle stands 3.25 inches high and can be purchased online at the Wilton Store for $4.49.

After attending the Wilton Mom ReTreat in June, I was super excited to try out my cake decorating skills on a Character Cake!  Thanks to Wilton, I was given the opportunity to make and decorate a Buzz Lightyear Cake using the Disney/Pixar Toy Story Cake Pan!  The cake pan is super easy to use and once the cake is decorated, it’s awesome!  I love that one box of cake mix fills the pan, instead of having to use multiple boxes of cake mix.  The cake pan measures 13 x 10.25 x 2 inches deep.  The pan can be purchased online at the Wilton Store for $14.49.  When decorating the cake, there are different color icings used.  The Disney/Pixar Toy Story Icing Color Set really creates vibrant colors and I found them very useful when creating my Buzz Lightyear Cake!  You can purchase the Icing Color Set for $5.99 online at the Wilton Store.

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed using the different Disney/Pixar Toy Story products from Wilton.  I had so much fun creating the Buzz Lightyear Cake.  Since it was my first time, it did take me a few hours and there are things I found I would do differently the next time I make and decorate a character cake.  The decorations recommend you use a piece of cardboard covered by foil, but I used the Wilton Ultimate 3-in-1 Cake Caddy with the 9×13 insert and the cake fit perfectly!   I look forward to baking and decorating more character cakes in the future!  Thank you Wilton for being an amazing company, selling fun and creative products, and for adding excitement and creating memories in our lives!
