Wordless Wednesday and Our Life in Pictures – Day 47

This morning, Brian woke up on his own (early), got dressed, and made his own lunch.  I was so impressed with my little man!  He sliced his own cheese for his sandwich, dressed it up with mustard, and put together his lunch.  He is getting so big!  Where did the time go?

It’s so wonderful when they can do things like this for themselves.

That’s so great! It’s so fun watching them become independent but a tiny bit sad too.

Yay for growing up! I showed my seven year old how to make her own sandwich but I always supervise. One day I got home from yoga, went to get the sandwich bread out, and just started laughing when I saw the loaf. I asked my husband if he let her make a sandwich. He said yes. It looked as if she kept tearing holes in the middles of the bread on accident and then put the torn pieces back in the bag! lol

How bittersweet… I bet there were all kinds of emotions in your heart. You were probably so proud of him and yet you probably wanted to squeeze him tight and tell him to never grow up all at the same time. I know that feeling all too well.
He is so adorable… just remember, they will always need and love their mommy, take it from me, I got a note from mine in Afghanistan telling me he missed me and thanking me for the snacks I sent. He said they were perfect and just what he needed – I was the only one who knew what he needed best. :-)
