“Parenthood” Premieres on NBC Tonight!

Thanks to NBC, I had the opportunity to watch the Pilot episode for a new series called, “Parenthood.”  It was a really touching show and I found many points of the show that I could identify with as a parent.  There was more drama than comedy and I found myself tearing up through a few key points in the show. It was a good show overall and one I look forward to watching more of this season.

“Parenthood” airs tonight at 10/9 Central on NBC.

From the executive producers of the box-office hit “Parenthood,” Ron Howard and Brian Grazer (Oscar winners for “A Beautiful Mind”), and writer/executive producer Jason Katims (“Friday Night Lights”), this contemporary re-imagining of the blockbuster film depicts the colorful and imperfect Braverman family – four grown siblings sharing the headaches, heartaches, and joy of being parents.

The show is about a family, each member in a different stage of life and facing different challenges. You have the parents – Camille and Zeek (former star of “Coach) who find themselves surrounded by family yet again. 4 of their grown children are finding strength in family life and facing challenges together. Sarah has moved herself and her two teenage kids (Amber and Drew) in with her parents, temporarily, until she can get on her feet. She leaves behind a loser musician ex-husband and faces her past once again. Adam and Kristina grow closer together after learning about challenges their son is facing and will face in the future. Crosby is a relaxed guy who likes to coast through life….until his longtime girlfriend pressures him into settling down….and having a baby. Julia is a lawyer who is supportive of her husband Joel, who is a stay-at-home dad. There is still a lot of expanding to do on the characters, but I’m excited to see how the show plays out.
