Oscar Mayer Good Mood Mission

Many of us are familiar with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, right?  Just a few weeks ago, my husband actually saw the Wienermobile driving through Seattle.  Wow!  Plus, I have a few blogging friends who got to see it live in LA.

I love to hear when companies put together donation campaigns.  Recently, Oscar Mayer teamed up with Emmy and Tony Award winner, Kristin Chenoweth, who is known for her comedic performances on television and on stage.  She is now working as the Oscar Mayer brand’s Good Mood Ambassador.  She is excitedly taking on the tast of heading up a national charity initiative that will put America in a good mood for a good cause – donating up to 2 million pounds of food to Feeding America.  Feeding America is the nation’s leading hunger-relief organization, which provides food to 25 million American’s every year.

Chenoweth is working with the Oscar Mayer brand to launch the Good Mood Mission with a million pound food donation and is asking for America’s help to match this at www.GoodMoodMission.com.  For every “good mood moment” America creates or shares, more food will be donated to reach the total goal 2 million pounds.

In The Grove in Los Angeles, Chenoweth worked to get people in the mood by leading hundreds of passerbys, performers, and members of the USC Trojans Marching Band in a giant flash mob!  The group joined together in music and dance and smiles were appearing all over the crowd, with help from a caravan of the famous Wienermobile vehicles.  As Good Mood Ambassador, Chenoweth also officially dispatched the fleet of Wienermobile vehicles on their cross-country journey to spread miles of smiles for the Good Mood Mission.  So, it’s a good chance that my husband saw one of those Wienermobiles in Seattle when he was driving.

You can help put good moods to good use by sharing your good mood at the Good Mood Mission or visiting Oscar Mayer on Facebook.  The more good moods shared and sent to others, the more pounds of food donated to Feeding America.  For helping others, you can even ear Oscar Mayer coupons and other fun offers.

    Oh my gosh, how FUN!
My mum has very fond memories of the wiener mobile from when she was younger and has told us many stories-We actually saw the mobile on a trip up north a few years ago(my mum nearly flipped her lid).

I agree though, when companies pull together for a good cause, it’s a beautiful thing :D
