I Am a Supermodel!
So, before you think I’m completely, let me explain myself. The other day, I was in Costco – all by myself – woo hoo! George was in the truck with the boys and I ran in for a few things. I loaded up the cart with about 10 things (a few more than planned) and hurried to the checkout line – where every line had at least 4 people waiting. Ok! This older man came up behind me and said “Excuse me.” My first thought was – shoot – I cut him off with my cart.
I looked over at him and smiled at him. He said, “Wow! You look great!” I immediately felt myself blushing. ”Thank you” I said, as the words stumbled out of my mouth. He continued, “No really, everything you’re wearing and your hair is gorgeous. You look like a professional supermodel.” My smile got bigger and I thanked him! I wished him a good rest of the day and proceeded to the checkout counter.
I was on top of the world. Even though he was much older than me, it was extremely flattering to be a mom to 3 kids, married for 10 years, and have someone (other than George of course) give me a compliment like that!
P.S. I owe it to North Face (for my jacket), Levi’s (for my jeans), Kohls (for my shoes), E.L.F. for my makeup, and my parents for my hair – lol!

Aww ho9w cool is that… ummm can you point me in the direction of the local Costco. I DID my hair today and got NADA , not even from hubby..

That’s awesome, would totally make my day too. My last few trips to Costco have been all about people practically running me over with their carts – somebody nice would be a welcome change!

Wow, I wish someone would say that to me. It would make my week, my year. I used to turn heads but now that I’m ahem let me just say midlife I don’t get that anymore. You go girl and enjoy it while you still can.
