“Guinness World Records 2010 Edition” Book Review

Guinness World Records 2010

I remember flipping through a small version of the Guinness World Records when I was younger.  It was a small book with black and white pictures.  I have to tell you that today, the book is much different!  I had the opportunity to review Guinness World Records 2010 Edition and found it amazing.  There were colorful pictures and the book was the size of a coffee table book, instead of your small reading book size.  I was amazed by some of the things that were included in the book!

You can find information on many items that made it into the Guinness World Records, including the Tallest Man (towering at 8 ft 1 in) to the Longest Fingernails (28 ft 4 in – that was pretty nasty!).  I really liked that they had pages dedicated to different countries, including the USA, Canada, Central and Southern Asia, New Zealand, Africa, and more!  Did you know that the Hippopotamus of Africa has the Largest Mouth for a Land Animal?  I had no idea!  Did you know that there are people that ride their bicycles in the bottom of the ocean?  Craziness!  Yet still fun to read.

You’ll also find the Top 100 Records of the Decade, links to free online content, photographs, interviews, and much more!  This would make a great Christmas gift for someone you know!  The book retails for $28.95 and you can purchase online or at a local bookstore.

I received a copy of the book, “Guinness World Records 2010″ from a PR Representative to review so I could write this post honestly.  All opinions expressed in this post are my own.

Great review and it is crazy what people do to get their name in this book. I remember looking at a book too a long time ago and it was much smaller. What does that mean…..more crazy people! lol

I have read many stories about some of these records and I cannot believe what people will go through or endure to break a crazy record! Some of them are amazing records, while others are quite silly in my opinion. I would definitely read something like this page for page because it’s probably very interesting. Thanks for sharing the review.
