If You’re Tired and You Know It, Nod Your Head

I am SO EXHAUSTED!

The culprit: baby Sam – don’t let the cute smile and cute face fool you!

I thought I was so lucky for a while because Sam was actually sleeping through the night. Not now!

He thinks it’s great to wake up at 3:00 a.m. and play with his toys and crawl around the front room squealing about “mommmm” and “dadddd.” I on the other hand am NOT happy about this situation. I am exhausted. You know you’re tired when it feels like your eyelids have weights on them and you have to fight to keep them open!

I’m convinced that moms of babies under a year old are continually sleep deprived. At least this explains the constant forgetfulness of things (i.e. where are my keys, did I turn the oven off, was there something I was supposed to do today?).

I have 3 kids and I know they eventually go back to sleep, but when is it that? I hope it’s soon!

Sincerely,

Exhausted in Seattle

So true. I feel like I am walking around in a daze all the time. I know it will end soon, hopefully (knock on wood), I am just so tired, all the time. I do not know how I am surviving not taking naps anymore. It is bad.
