What is a Domestic Goddess?

My husband came up with a cute name for my career position at this time in my life. He calls me a “Domestic Goddess” – aka Housewife and Mom.

I looked online to find out what a mom would be paid if she were actually making a salary in the work world. This figure is from 2006 (so may be more) – $134,121. That’s an awful lot of money :)

Here is what my job description includes:

- Housekeeper
- Child Care Provider
- Teacher
- Cook
- Computer Operator
- Laundry Machine Operator
- Janitor
- Facilities Manager
- Chauffeur
- CEO
- Psychologist
- Nurse
- Personal Shopper

I’m sure there are more but those are just a few of the different jobs that fall under the title of Domestic Goddess (aka mom or wife).

Why did I add another blog, you may be asking? We have a family blog already but I decided I wanted to create a blog about parenting and motherhood, publishing things that I’ve found to be helpful in our lives. I hope you enjoy it and visit often. :)
